An Experienced Guide for Your E-2 Journey
I am a consultant and entrepreneur and have been self-employed for many years. My career combines business, international cooperation and personal experience with the E-2 visa.
My First Years in the USA
At the age of 21, I moved to the USA on my own for the first time and stayed for six years. At the University of South Carolina in Columbia, I earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude and a Master of Arts with honors (Pi Sigma Alpha and Sigma Iota Rho).
Helping Businesses Across Borders
After graduating, I worked in economic development in Munich for the European office of the US state of West Virginia. I helped medium-sized and large European companies move to or expand into West Virginia and recruited businesses.
Business Responsibilities
As a project manager at Lidl UK’s headquarters in London, I worked directly for the COO on projects. In technical procurement, I was responsible for German-speaking suppliers and managed a purchasing volume of several million pounds. After that, my brother and I ran a company in Germany together for twelve years. My brother continues to run it successfully.
Our Own Move to Florida
In early 2019, we founded our company in Florida and moved to the USA as a family with two young children. We went through the E-2 visa process ourselves and know from personal experience what this step means.
Our Path to the Green Card
In 2024, we transitioned from our E-2 visas to permanent residency through the highly competitive EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) category. To qualify for this difficult category, I had to prove that my work serves the national interest of the United States. I achieved this by showcasing the nationwide economic impact, substantial foreign direct investment (FDI), and widespread job creation generated by the hundreds of clients I have advised - work that I proudly continue today.
